Today, let’s talk about inspiration.

Where do you get it in times when everything is falling apart?

In college, it’s easy for me to unstuck myself from feeling uninspired. I’d go to the library, discover new books and writers, and go back to the real world with a different perspective about life in general.

But in the digital marketing world, it’s different. Reliable or not, online resources are everywhere. It’s simply a matter of finding which will resonate with you, your goals, and your ideals.

Here are some of the best resources I can find to keep my sanity. Whether I’m looking for blog post ideas, blog inspiration, or just to get my creative juices flowing.

Hopefully, you will find them useful in your blogging goals, too. In fact, you can also read my previous blog post about practical tips to pursue your blogging goals.

Let’s get to it.

Blog Post Ideas: Where to Find Inspiration

First let’s start with blogs.

Blogs

Her Paper Route

Her Paper Route is a haven of blogging resources. It is founded by Chelsea Clarke, a 6-figure blogger, and entrepreneur. I discovered Chelsea in one of the Facebook groups I’m in. Similar to ours, there are Facebook groups out there who have active members, participating on daily threads, with the primary goal of reaching a much wider audience and of course, generate traffic to their website.

What I love about Her Paper Route is it helped me with my mindset shift. Chelsea will help you realize that blogging doesn’t start and end with writing blog posts and hitting the publish button. Instead, you will be taught the ins and outs of the blogging industry, strengthen your goals, and look at blogging as a business, instead of a hobby.

In fact, one of her best-selling courses is the Blog Flipping Masterclass. So if you want to get busy during quarantine by creating a blog that’s valuable and profitable, and sell it for profit, check out her Blog Flipping Masterclass here.

Sweet & Simple Life

Sweet & Simple Life is created by Cate Rosales. According to her About page, she created this blog to help women make money blogging and live life on their own terms. You can check out her free 5-day blogging challenge.

She Means Blogging

She Means Blogging is created by Arfa Nazeer. I discovered her on Pinterest. In January, I decided to create a Pinterest account for Bringing Up Business because I hear a lot of good things about it, especially those who are struggling to have their blogs rank on Google.

Anyway, what I love about She Means Blogging is its simplicity. Everything is explained very clearly. And when you read her posts, it’s like you’re getting advice from an old friend. Check her out.

A Self Guru

A self-guru is created by a blogger and full-time lawyer Amira Irfan. Her best-selling product is the Legal Bundle. In this bundle, you will get 3 legal pages to protect you and your content against content theft and other lawsuits.

Digital She.E.O.

Digital She.E.O. is actually a new blog. According to Jen Towkaniuk, she created this blog in November 2019. Now, she has over 200k monthly views on Pinterest. I enrolled in her free Pinterest email course and believe me, it’s worth it.

Create and Go

Create and Go is created by Alex and Lauren. I found out about them from a Teachable Live webinar last year. And if you look at their website, their monthly income report is insane.

Start a Mom Blog

Suzi Whitford is the founder of Start a Mom Blog. If you are a stay-at-home mom and you want to earn extra while taking care of your children, she’s definitely someone you can look up to.

Even if you’re not a mom, you can benefit from her freebies. My favorite is her 12-month blog planner.

Allison Lindstrom

When I started Bringing Up Business, Allison’s website is among the first of my go-to blogging resources. Her blogs gave me my a-ha moment. Without her, I don’t think Bringing Up Business would have been born.

This Village Girl

This Village Girl is created by Dani, a Filipino blogger currently based in Malaysia. Her blog is about personal growth. One of my favorite blog posts from her is about 10 Ways To Stop Yourself From Being a Slave To Your Emotions.

That’s it for the list of blogs that inspire me. Now, let’s move on to YouTube channels.

YouTube

YouTube can make or break you. You can be in the know with YouTube drama, or use the platform to spend your time on the internet wisely.  Here are YouTube channels and/or videos I always go back to every time I’m feeling uninspired. Sometimes, I watch them for pure entertainment, or to get blog post ideas for Bringing Up Business.

Girl and the Word

Let’s start with Girl and the Word. Girl and the Word is my most recent discovery. It is a self-care and personal growth channel created by Anh Luu. I love her decluttering, positive affirmations, organization hacks, and gardening videos. Yesterday, she announced that her cozy online shop is open and all of her products are free. In fact, I got my new desktop wallpaper there. Right now, one of my favorite videos of her was the one she uploaded 4 days ago about her personal growth story.

It’s not your typical success story, believe me.

Lavendaire

Next is Lavendaire by Aileen Xu. I was dying to get hold of her Artist of LIfe workbook before 2020 started. But I felt bad because the shipping cost more than the product itself. Anyway, just like Anh, Aileen is a self-care advocate. In fact, I got my inspiration to create a self-care blog from watching her videos. Lavendaire isn’t your typical self-care YouTube channel. For me, it addresses the need to pause in a world where everything happens so fast. It gives you time to step back and prioritize your needs as much as you prioritize others.

Rowena Tsai

Another recent discovery is Rowena Tsai’s YouTube channel. If you love productivity tips that are practical, and actionable, check out her channel. Also, she’s very bubbly. I’m sure you’ll love her.

Anastasia Blogger

Next is Anastasia Blogger. Anastasia is a Pinterest guru, blogger, and marketing expert. Her channel primarily talks about Pinterest and how bloggers can benefit from it to help drive traffic to their websites. And, she’s very active in the comments section. So if you have questions, feel free to leave them in the comments. She loves answering them.

Cathrin Manning (The Content Bug)

If you want to start a YouTube channel to connect with your blog, Cathrin Manning of The Content Bug is your go-to person. She uploads videos every Tuesdays and Thursdays about how to start a YouTube channel, how to get monetized and run a YouTube channel like a business. She started creating YouTube videos about blogging, and Pinterest. But her channel took off as soon as she shifted from creating videos about YouTube.

The best blog inspiration lesson you can learn from her is to create content based on what your audience wants.

Rachel Talbott

When it comes to self-care blog post ideas, Rachel’s YouTube channel is a charm. I love her videos about DIY body scrubs, home decor, herb gardening, and self-care.

Oh, and did I mention that she can sing? Yes, she’s been producing her own music at her home studio and sharing them on her other channel and on Spotify.

But the best blog inspiration from her that you’ll get is: life happens but it doesn’t mean you can’t pursue your dreams anymore. She’s a stay-at-home mom with 2 boys and a chef husband.

Truly, another way to learn the blogging basics is to stop making excuses and just do it.

Kusinerong Arkitekto

Kusinerong Arkitekto is a recent discovery. I love watching cooking videos. So if you’re starting a cooking blog, you can get a lot of blog inspiration on YouTube.

Anyhoo, Kusinerong Arkitekto is fun to watch. Aside from high-quality videos, the content creator is witty, too.

My favorite is his Lemon Square Cheesecake Ice Cream Cake

Real Asian Beauty

Real Asian Beauty is among the pioneers of the Filipino beauty community. I have been watching her for years. In fact, she’s the first YouTuber I saw on a TV guesting.

Like Rachel Talbott, the Real Asial Beauty creates videos about self-care, home decor, and skincare for acne-prone skin. Also, among her well-loved videos are her Korea travel vlogs.

So if you’re looking for blog inspiration about traveling to Korea, check out her channel.

Digital Marketer

If you are looking for tips for new bloggers about the blogging basics in general, the Digital Marketer is perfect for you. As a freelancer, I was able to get a lot of value from watching their YouTube videos alone.

So if you want to start a blog about digital marketing, it’s super easy to get blog inspiration from their YouTube channel.

They offer free online courses, too. So check out their website.

The Financial Diet

Looking for blog post inspiration about how to be wise when it comes to your finances? Then The Financial Diet is right for you. In this YouTube channel, you will learn about smart spending, frugal living, how to get away from debt and improve your credit score among other things.

Ferdy Korpershoek

Ferdy is one of my favorite people on YouTube. I learned about how to design a WordPress website with Elementor through his videos. He’s also one of my inspirations behind my YouTube channel.

Ferdy is one of my favorite people on YouTube. I learned about how to design a WordPress website with Elementor through his videos. He’s also one of my inspirations behind my YouTube channel.

While I am focused on writing blog posts about blogging, content writing, and WordPress, I’d like to add more value to my brand by creating YouTube videos as well.

One goal at a time.

Heal Your Living

Are you looking for blog post ideas about extreme minimalism? If yes, then you will love this YouTube channel. Minimalist or not, this channel will inspire you to declutter and help you realize that less is really more.

In fact, I started letting go of most of my stuff because of this YouTube channel. Decluttering is a process. You can’t rush it. So if this is your vibe, check out this channel for blog inspiration.

Shaira Luna

Shaira is a gifted child turned fashion photographer. Famous for her “Promil Kid” commercial, she now has a YouTube channel about thrifting and vintage fashion. So if you want to start a blog in this niche, her channel is a great blog inspiration.

Ahrefs

Looking for a reliable SEO tool to do your keyword research? How about starting a blog about SEO tips? Well, Ahrefs is the perfect channel for you. Get blog post ideas about the blogging basics, tips for new bloggers, how to optimize blog posts, and blog inspiration on how to rank #1 on Google.

Speaking of Google, here’s my other blog post about SEO tips on how to get Google’s attention as a new blogger.

Earn Money with Aiza

Bitcoins, anyone? Cryptocurrencies is one of the most highly-paid writing gigs for freelance writers. So if you’re looking for blog post ideas and blog inspiration in this niche for your portfolio, Aiza’s YouTube channel is perfect for you.

Wholesale Ted

Did you know that can produce another stream of income by means of print-on-demand? If YouTubers can sell merch, bloggers can do it, too. In fact, print-on-demand is the most popular way to do it. Basically, you partner with the company to print your t-shirt design for you, and deliver it to your customers. No need for inventory. All you have to do is send your design, and they will take care of the rest.

Also, if you want print-on-demand as your blog niche, you can get blog inspiration from this channel.

Matt D’Avella

Another YouTube channel about minimalism and productivity is Matt D’Avella’s. If you need blog inspiration from this niche from a man’s point of view, check out his channel.

TedTalk

This one’s my favorite. If you are looking for tips for new bloggers about getting started, entrepreneurship, goal setting, and just pure blog inspiration from amazing people around the world, you can’t miss TedTalk.

And that’s about it for YouTube channels.

Last but definitely not the least, are podcasts. Eversince I upgrade my Spotify to premium, I became super obsessed with listening to podcasts. Unlike videos, you can indulge your mind with blog post ideas and blog inspiration with podcasts while doing chores, and of course now while we’re on quarantine.

These are the podcasts I listen to while washing the dishes, doing the laundry, cooking, or playing with my dogs.

Without further adieu, here they are.

Podcasts

Getting Curious by Jonathan Van Ness

If you’re watching Queer Eye on Neflix, I’m sure you know Jonathan Van Ness. In this podcast, he interviews incredible people from various fields. So if you’re feeling geeky, or just “curious”, check out his podcast.

One of my favorite episodes is the one about turtles. Did you know that they can be spayed or neutered? Yeah.

Goal Digger

The Goal Digger podcast is created by Jenna Kutcher. I love this podcast because it focuses on how to create actionable and achievable goals. Plain and simple.

So if you want blog post ideas and blog inspiration about productivity and goal setting, check out her podcast.

Lavendaire

Lavendaire’s YouTube channel is as good as it’s podcast. Just like Getting Curious, the Lavendaire podcast episodes are interviews about inspirational people about self-care and self-love.

The Blog Millionaire

If you’re looking for your ultimate blog inspiration, Brandon Gaille is your man. He gets millions of page views every month. So if you’re looking for blog inspiration about SEO and how to get website traffic the right way, you can’t miss this podcast.

Money Girl

Here’s another blog inspiration about dealing with your finances the smart way.

Do You Even Blog
